JOMP has been a Worcester, Massachusetts staple for 30 years now. When the program started, it was dedicated to teaching young children how to play and appreciate music. But, as its popularity grew, so did its purpose. Today, it serves all members of our community, no matter their age. Its services include private lessons, music workshops, and large group ensembles.

People from across the area are drawn to JOMP because of its warm and welcoming environment that teaches music in a nurturing, non-competitive way.

In 2002, the school moved to what is now its permanent location and recently finished building the new, 200-seat Joseph & Jordan Shapiro Concert Hall.

Joy of Music Program is served by a faculty of 40 outstanding musicians, all dedicated to teaching their students. While the music programs are not free, the pricing is affordable, and there is a generous scholarship program available for families in need.

Former students, parents, and faculty members rave about how JOMP not only teaches it students music, but makes them feel like a part of their community. Interested in supporting this great organization? You can make a donation online!
