Now that October is here, it is officially Breast Cancer Awareness Month. That means, for the seventh year in a row, Chevrolet will partner with the American Cancer Society on Making Strides for Breast Cancer.
Part of this support is Chevrolet’s #IDriveFor campaign on social media. The campaign encourages people to show their support by sharing pictures or posts about who they are driving in support of using the hashtag #IDriveFor. For every post on Twitter or Instagram that uses the hashtag, Chevrolet will donate $5 (up to $500,000) to the American Cancer Society.
Since 2011, Chevrolet has raised more than $6 million in support of the American Cancer Society.
Chevrolet employees are also showing their support by participating in local Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walks across the country. These walks raise much-needed funds for breast cancer research and other breast cancer support programs. This year, many Chevrolet employees will be participating during the walk in Detroit on October 21st.
Here in Massachusetts, there is a Making Strides walk in Worcester on October 15th. At Diamond Auto Group, we hope to see many of you there showing your support for anyone you know who has been affected by breast cancer.
