The 2020 Chevrolet Silverado HD is scheduled to launch in just a few months, but Chevrolet has already given us a good look at the all-new model. The Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD and 3500HD will offer increased towing and payload capacities. The 2020 Silverado HD will make its official public debut at the Chicago Auto Show.
The large heavy duty pickup features a tall cabin and a dominant stare. The all-new design shares styling cues with the Silverado 1500. A stamped “Chevrolet” badge across the chrome front bar grabs attention while the hood scoop, a fan favorite feature, returns to the 2020 Silverado HD.
The 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD and 3500HD will arrive with a new gas engine that replaces the existing 360-horsepower V8 engine. The new engine will come paired to a six-speed automatic transmission. The available 6.6-liter Duramax® turbodiesel engine returns to the Silverado HD line for the 2020 model year. It will come coupled with an advanced 10-speed automatic transmission.
Trailering technologies, like a backup hitch camera and remote brake light check, will likely make their way from the Silverado 1500 to the Silverado HD. Chevrolet hasn’t revealed towing and payload capacities just yet, but the automaker promises the 2020 Silverado HD will top the heavy-duty truck segment.
Here at Diamond Auto Group, we are excited to learn more about these heavy-duty Chevy vehicles.
