Diamond Auto Group is located in Auburn, Massachusetts, on the outskirts of the Worcester community. And as much as we would like to think we are the most famous part of the town, Worcester is actually well-known as the hometown of several celebrities and historical figures. Did you know that the following famous people are from Worcester?
Actors and Artists
There are several creatives who called Auburn home at some point, including H. Jon Benjamin of “Bob’s Burgers” and “Archer” fame; Jean Louisa Kelley from “Yes, Dear”; Erik Per Sullivan of “Malcom in the Middle”; and several painters, architects, musicians (like Jordan Knight of New Kids On The Block), and photographers. Several writers also emerged from Auburn, including famous poet Frank O’Hara, screenwriter John Dufresne, and John Michael Hayes, who adapted many Alfred Hitchcock stories for the screen.
Auburn has also produced a lot of famous athletes, such as Frank Carroll, Rich Gedman, Tom Heinsohn, Richard Rodgers, Bill Toomey, and Vinnie Yablonski.
Auburn has also been the starting point for several prominent politicians, including our own governor in the 1860s, Alexander H. Bullock; another governor, Levi Lincoln Jr., and several state representatives.
Other notable Auburn residents have included Lillian Asplund, who survived the Titanic; Irving Price, who co-founded Fisher Price toys; and Geoffrey Zakarian, a celebrity chef.
