Even as some automakers cut diesel engines from their lineups, GMC is stepping in with a proactive approach. The automaker jumped ahead of the competition by debuting the all-new 2018 GMC Terrain just ahead of the North American International Auto Show. Like its sibling the Chevrolet Equinox, the new Terrain will offer an available turbo-diesel engine.
Like the Equinox, the Terrain will feature three available engines across the lineup. The 1.5-liter and 2.0-liter turbocharged engines will offer exceptional performance and fuel economy, while the 1.6-liter turbo-diesel engine will be in a class all its own.
Fuel efficiency has become a common theme across the GMC lineup, and the 2018 Terrain continues to build on it. All-wheel drive models will feature a front-wheel drive mode for optimized fuel economy and control under any circumstances.
Drivers can enjoy plenty of available safety technologies, like Forward Collision Alert with Following Distance Indicator and Low-Speed Forward Automatic Braking. The new Terrain will also feature a Teen Driver mode and a Rear Seat Reminder for parents who love to stay ahead of the game.
The 2018 GMC Terrain will officially hit dealership lots this summer in five delightful trims.
We here at Diamond Auto Group are pumped for the arrival of the new GMC Terrain!
